New JVPR Client: Coral Sands Inn & Cottages, Harbour Island, The Bahamas

We are delighted to announce that Coral Sands Inn & Cottages, The Bahamas has joined the JVPR family.

Located in Harbour Island and just a few steps away from the iconic coral sands beach, Coral Sands hotel was originally established in 1968 by Hollywood actor and former fighter pilot, Brett King and his wife, and quickly became a cherished institution on the Island.

Now, after a year long extensive renovation, Coral Sands hotel, The Bahamas, has reopened its doors and is better than ever.

Paying homage to its original founders, Coral Sands has beautifully redesigned its accommodations, paired with updated public spaces, a brand new state-of-the-art open-air fitness centre, putting green, pickleball and basketball courts.

The new restaurant offerings include The Pink Mermaid, the striking seaside Italian bistro, blends Bahamian flavours with fresh, locally sourced produce, the perfect setting for dinner. For more casual dining, The Beach Bar, an open-air cabana, is open for lunches overlooking the famed coral sands beach.

The design transformation incorporates a significant focus on celebrating local craftsmanship, including over 7,000 hand-clad shells integrated into the stunning columns of The Pink Mermaid Restaurant, a 10,300 feet rope feature (1.95 miles) at The Beach Bar - which, if stretched out, would cover the entire length of the island's pink sand beach - handcrafted signs created by a local artisan using foraged wood from Harbour Island, as well as pressed palm leaves from the Coral Sands property adorning the lobby.
